Joost Knevel, the last of a trio of conspiracy theorists who have been making threats against public figures such as Mark Rutte and RIVM chief Jaap van Dissel, has been extradited by Spain, the public prosecutor’s office has confirmed.

Knevel, editor of conspiracy theory touting channel the Red Pill Journal, was arrested some ten days ago in Spain where he lives, after police put out a European search warrant.

Spanish police finally discovered him in the town of Gandía in Valencia where he had been hiding out for the last few months.

Knevel, who will be appearing in court later this week, is accused of posting videos in which he calls on people to ‘give Van Dissel a well-deserved neck shot’ and ‘chasing Rutte into the sea’. He also posted a video which shows Rutte and Van Dissel each with their head in a noose.

Two other presenters of the online channel have been told by the court to stop their allegations about a pedophile network in Bodegraven which prompted people to lay flowers at the graves of children in the town, much to the distress of the parents.

Editor in chief of the channel Wouter Raatgever was recently sentenced to nine months in prison for similar offences while fellow conspiracy theorist Micha Kat was arrested in Northern Ireland in July. The decision to extradite him will be made in September. Kat still has a sentence of six months outstanding for libeling NOS and Telegraaf journalists.
