A comfortable 3-0 home win against Swiss side BSC Young Boys put Ajax into a strong position ahead of next week’s second leg in the Europa League round of 16.

Ajax, which had four teenagers in the squad, take a commanding lead to Bern next week, following goals by Davy Klaassen, captain Dusan Tadic and Brian Brobbey, in extra time.

‘We believe in our philosophy, in our total football, and that’s it. You need to believe in what you are doing,’ captain Dušan Tadić told Uefa.com after the game. ‘You just need to do the same things and the moments will come, because you make your opponents tired.’
