The leader of a fringe German far-right group has been arrested in Limburg in a joint operation with Dutch police.

German prosecutors issued a warrant for Fadi J., who founded the Goyim Party of Germany in 2016. The other leader of the anti-Semitic group, Marcus B., was arrested in Berlin while police searched the homes of another six members across Germany.

The group’s presence consisted of a website promoting Holocaust denial and Nazi propaganda, as well as a page on the Russian social media site Vkontakte with 500 followers.

‘They also included deeply degrading anti-Semitic propaganda, such as calls for the murder of Jewish fellow citizens,’ the German federal prosecution service said in a statement.

All the suspects are due to appear in court in Germany on Friday charged with belonging to an extreme right-wing criminal organisation.
