Letter bombs have gone off at an ABN Amro post sorting office in Amsterdam’s Sloterdijk business estate and at a post sorting office in Kerkrade, police confirmed on Wednesday morning.

No-one was injured in the explosions.

Police say they do not yet know if there is a link to the letter bombs sent to companies and hotels in Amsterdam, Maastricht, Utrecht and Rotterdam at the beginning of this year.

According to the Parool, a letter bomb was also intercepted at a postal sorting office in Amsterdam on Friday.
