Part of the A67 motorway was brought to a standstill on Monday after a lorry shed its load of pig carcasses.

The Eindhoven-bound carriageway at the Velden junction was reduced to one lane while the highways agency Rijkswaterstaat cleared and cleaned the road surface.

In a tweet, the agency said the road was ‘spekglad’ (slippery as bacon) after the pigskins were strewn across the inside lane. has been free for 13 years, but now we are asking our readers to help.
