Airbnb has taken a large share of the €56m generated by Amsterdam online ticket seller Tiqets in a new investment round.

Tiqets, launched six years ago and with a current workforce of 200, focuses on helping tourists buy tickets for museums and amusement parks in their own currency and language by phone, up to a few minutes before their visit.

The exact share Airbnb now has in Tiqets was not made public but the company is responsible for ‘the major part’ of the new funding. Prior lead investors HPE Growth Capital and Investion were also among the investors in the new funding round, the company said.
