ING buys into Irish cross-border payments concern TransferMate

Amsterdam-based financial services group ING has paid €21m for shareholding in TransferMate, an Irish company which specialises in cross-border B2B payments.

ING said TransferMate would provide it SME clients with faster, cheaper and easier payments and will help customers to save time and money for international money transfers.

TransferMate has built up an extensive network of payment licenses in the financial services industry. In addition to collaborating with ING, TransferMate is also focusing on expansion into Asia Pacific.
