New poll of polls shows impact of anti-Moroccan chant on PVV

A new poll of polls shows support for the Christian Democrats is slowly improving and that the anti-Moroccan chanting led by PVV leader Geert Wilders has dented the party’s support.

The poll of polls looks at the results of four main Dutch opinion polls and shows the range of support for each party every two weeks.

The two Liberal parties VVD and D66 remain the biggest with 23-27 and 22-26 seats in the 150 seat parliament. The PVV is on 19-23, down seven on its highest postion.

The Christian Democrats are now on 17-21 seats in the poll of polls. ‘The party is climbing back steadily,’ said poll compiler Tom Louwerse. The CDA currently has 13 seats in parliament.
