11-year-old Dutch boy signs for FC Barcelona
An 11-year-old Dutch boy from Groningen has signed a contract with Spanish football club FC Barcelona.
Fodé Fofana was spotted by Barça at a tournament in France last year and invited him to play for a few days to find out if he has real talent.
The boy currently plays with local amateur club GVAV Rapiditas. According to Nos television, Amsterdam club Ajax, English and French clubs were also after the talented youngster.
Fodé will stay with another family while his own parents get ready to make the move, Nos said.
According to the AD, quoting a local Spanish paper, Fodé is one of 59 young players signed by Barcelona for its prestigious youth academy.
