Rare wallcreeper spotted in Limburg

Dozens of birdwatchers are flocking to the southern province of Maastricht where a rare wallcreeper (Tichodroma muraria) has been spotted.

It is the first time in 20 years a wallcreeper has been seen in the Netherlands. The bird is normally found in mountain areas but was once more common in the nearby hilly Belgian Ardennes, the Volkskrant reports.
