Officers were called to the Ewijkseweg road in the village and taken to hospital after being injured, police said. Their condition has not been released, and no details have been given about the person who died.
Several people have been arrested, and forensic teams are searching several locations in the village. Police have not said what led to the shooting.
A resident told regional broadcaster Omroep Gelderland they heard shots at around 4.20am and saw ambulances and a trauma helicopter arrive.
