The Netherlands is in for a warm and sunny spell, with temperatures reaching up to 27° over the holiday weekend, weather forecasters say.

Thursday will be dry with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching up to 23° in the south. By Friday it will be warmer although there may be some cloud in the north.

The weekend itself will be largely sunny, with temperatures in the late 20s, although there could be the odd light shower on Saturday.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will have clear skies and high temperatures, with very little wind. There may be more cloud later in the week, but the KNMI weather bureau says the summery weather will continue for the next few days.
