Next few hours crucial in battle to contain Gelderland wildfire

The wildfire on a military training range at ‘t Harde in Gelderland is still not completely under control and could flare again if the winds pick up, according to the regional safety board on Thursday morning.
Fire crews worked through the night to contain the fire and it has not spread, although the next few hours will be crucial, a spokesman told broadcaster NOS. Between 100 and 150 fire officers are working to curtail the blaze.
The blaze broke out on Wednesday morning at the Artillerie Schietkamp, one of the Dutch army’s main artillery firing ranges and NL alerts were issued in a large area stretching across the provinces of Noord-Holland, Gelderland and Flevoland.
As yet it is unclear how the fire started.
