Level up your Dutch career with this Master’s and MBA event

The job market in the Netherlands moves fast and there comes a point where you need more than just a good CV to get to the next level. On March 16, the team at QS, the institution behind the World University Rankings, is hosting an Amsterdam event which could be just what you need to shift gears.

For the first time ever, QS is bringing its specialised Master’s fair to the Netherlands, hosted by the Doubletree by Hilton hotel next to central station – so easy to get to for everyone.

The fair is aimed at students and recent graduates who feel stuck in the “application black hole.” Instead of sending off dozens of emails into the void, you can walk up and talk directly to representatives from institutions like Bocconi, ESCP, IE University, Hult, Vlerick and the Frankfurt School of Finance.

Whether you’re looking at finance, management, or data, this is your chance to ask about the things that really matter: actual job prospects, starting salaries, and how to successfully navigate staying in the Benelux region after you graduate.

MBA options

If you have at least three years of work experience, you probably don’t want to wander around a busy fair. That’s why the Connect MBA event is returning with a one-on-one setup. It’s built around pre-scheduled, 25-minute private chats.

You get to sit down with admissions directors from schools such as HEC Paris, IMD, London Business School, SDA Bocconi, Warwick Business School, Rotterdam School of Management, and Manchester Metropolitan, among others.

These sessions allow you to talk about your specific goals, the potential return on investment, and how a global MBA can help you jump into a leadership role.

Advice on your CV

A massive perk of this event is the presence of Amy Duckworth, one of the industry’s leading admissions strategists and she will be offering live profile audits throughout the evening.

If you want to know why your CV isn’t hitting the mark or how to tell your story in a way that top schools actually notice, she’s the person to ask. In a world where AI’s presence is increasing at a fast pace, getting a direct steer from an expert provides a massive advantage.

Scholarship fund

In addition to the networking and professional audits, there is a $45,000 scholarship fund available to those who attend, plus workshops specifically designed to help you navigate the nuances of the Dutch job market.

The events take place on Monday, March 16, and they’re completely free, but you do have to register beforehand so the team can match you with the right schools and experts. Because it’s the first time the Master’s fair has come to the Netherlands and the MBA slots are always in high demand, it’s worth signing up sooner rather than later.
