Eurostar services to London halted due to tunnel problems

Eurostar services between London and Amsterdam, and the rest of the European mainland, were halted on Tuesday because of problems in the Channel tunnel.
Eurostar is calling on travellers to delay their journeys to another day while engineers try to solve the power failure in the overhead cabling. As yet it is unclear how long this will take.
Eurostar services are still operating between Amsterdam and Paris with stops in Rotterdam and Brussels.
The breakdown comes at a busy time for travel travel between Britain and the European mainland because of the holiday season.
