Two people have been arrested after the body of a man was found in a house in Arnhem.

Police said a 23-year-old man from Zutphen and a 31-year-old woman of no fixed abode were being questioned following the discovery of the body in Sterappelgaard, a street in the Zuid district, on Sunday.

Police described the circumstances as suspicious, but gave no further details about the man, such as his age or relationship with the two suspects.

The area around the street has been cordoned off with tape and a mobile police office has been placed outside for the on-site team.
