Police arrest three suspects for the murder of elderly woman
Police have made three arrests related to the suspected murder of an 80-year-old woman in Amsterdam last week.
The woman is believed to have been victim to a violent robbery. The three suspects are a 19-year-old woman from Zaandam and two men aged 20 and 23 from Amsterdam.
An alarm was raised when the woman failed to turn up for an appointment on Wednesday. Police went to her home on Wittgensteinlaan at 3pm and found her lying dead.
According to Amsterdam broadcaster AT5, police have searched several homes and impounded a car thought to be related to the crime.
