Heavy rain to start the week, but summer returns at the weekend

The KNMI weather bureau has issued a code yellow warning for Flevoland and Friesland on Monday, saying more very heavy rain is expected in both provinces.

Tuesday too will be blustery and wet – and according to Weeronline, the rain will also be extremely heavy in places. Temperatures at the start of the week will dip below 20°, slightly cooler than normal for the time of year.

By Wednesday, however, warmer and drier weather is forecast to return, with temperatures reaching the mid-20s. As the weekend approaches, the temperature will climb again and could reach 30° in the south.

The KNMI’s long-range forecast indicates temperatures may drop again slightly towards the middle of the month, with an increased chance of rain later on.
