This week will start with warm sunshine but it will turn cooler and more unsettled by next weekend, according to Weeronline.

Monday and Tuesday will be dry, sunny and warm across most of the country, with temperatures widely reaching between 20 and 23°. A northerly to north-easterly wind will keep it a few degrees cooler along the northern coast and on the Wadden Islands.

The change will set in on Wednesday, when it will remain mostly dry with more cloud cover than earlier in the week. Temperatures will range from 14° on the Wadden Islands to around 20° in the far east and Limburg — typical for the second half of May.

From Thursday, the weather will turn more unsettled. The north is likely to see some showers on Thursday, and rain will become more widespread by Friday.

A strong north-westerly wind will bring a distinct chill with daytime temperatures on Thursday and Friday only reaching 13 to 14° in coastal areas, and 15 to 16° further inland.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the wind is expected to shift to the west or south-west, bringing a slight rise in temperatures — but the weather will remain changeable towards the end of the month.
