A Dutch teenager has been arrested in Greece on suspicion of having sexually abused a nine-year-old girl, Greek media reported.
The girl, who is also Dutch, was allegedly abused in the house of her mother where the boy had been staying.
When the mother of the girl reported the 17-year-old to police he fled, but was later arrested near Thessaloniki on January 3. Police said he was carrying a knife.
The boy is still in custody and denies the abuse. The foreign office has said it is aware of the case and is offering consular assistance to those involved.
