Two more Dutch clubs move on in European competition this winter after Thursday night games – Vitesse of Arnhem and PSV Eindhoven.

Vitesse managed a 2-0 win over Rapid Vienna in the Conference League competition, and progress to the next round 3-2 on aggregate.

PSV Eindhoven  also made it through to the next round of the Conference League after a 1-1 draw against Maccabi Tel Aviv and a 2-1 on aggregate.

That means there are four Dutch clubs in the Conference League round of 16, given that Feyenoord of Rotterdam and AZ Alkmaar have already qualified.

Vitesse and PSV begin with home games against AS Roma and FC Kopenhagen. AZ and Feyenoord who both went through as group winners, will meet Norwegian side FK Bodø/Glimt away and Serbian team Partizan.

The first leg is on March 10, the return leg a week later.

Five Dutch clubs remain in European competition. On Wednesday, Ajax drew 2-2 away to Benfica of Portugual in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash. The return leg, in Amsterdam, is on March 15 in Amsterdam.
