Monday starts cloudy but stays largely dry, with the sun breaking through more widely as the day goes on. Highs range from around 16° in the north of Noord-Holland to above 20° in the southeast.
Tuesday brings much the same: dry for most of the country, with temperatures of 20° to 25° from the northwest to the southeast.
It will turn warmer day by day. Wednesday averages around 25° and Thursday reaches 27°, with the first 30° possible in the southeast. The Netherlands last saw 30° during a warm spell in late May.
Friday looks set to be the warmest day, with 30° or more inland in many places. Forecasters warn of a possible local thunderstorm late in the day.
The weekend should stay summery, again with the chance of a thunderstorm, though the temperature is far less certain. Sunday and Monday could hold just above 20° or climb back towards 30°.
