The summer weather, with plenty of sunshine and some cloud, is set to continue well into next week, the KNMI weather bureau said on Friday.

Saturday will be sunny, although some high cloud may build up inland later in the day. The temperature will range from 19 degrees on the northern coast to 24 degrees in the south.

The picture is similar for Sunday and early next week, with temperatures reaching as high as 28 degrees on Wednesday. By Thursday, the chance of rain will increase.

The meteorological spring of 2020 is set to go down on record as the sunniest on record, weather bureau Weerplaza said earlier this week.

With more sunshine forecast up to the end of the month, the period March to May is likely to have seen 50 more hours of sunshine than average, placing 2020 at the top of the record lists, Weerplaza said.
