There may be a few showers around on Monday but the rest of the week will be chilly and dry with some sunny spells, according to the KNMI weather bureau.

Daytime temperatures will hit around 8 Celsius on Monday but will be no higher than 4 or 5 Celsius in the rest of the week. Night frosts are possible in places, particularly on Thursday evening.

By Friday, rain may move in and it will be a little warmer that earlier in the week. Next weekend is set to be wet, the KNMI said.

The KNMI long range forecast is for more of the same, with strong winds at times.
