Friday will be a dry, sunny day for most of the country but more cloud will move in overnight, bringing occasional showers on Saturday, weather bureau KNMI said.

The weekend will be mainly overcast, but there may be some sunny spells on Saturday, with temperatures no higher than 8 or 9 Celsius during the day and close to zero at night.

The rain will return next week, and it will feel cold, with temperatures around 6 Celsius during the day. The sun may put in an appearance again from Tuesday onwards.

The KNMI’s long-term forecast says there will be more of the same well into November, with temperatures slightly below average for the time of year and a 40% chance of rain on a daily basis.
