Man arrested after mother and baby found dead in flat
A man has been arrested after a mother and baby were found dead in a flat in Diemen.
The two bodies were discovered in the house on Martin Luther Kinglaan on Friday, AT5 reported. Police initially did not suspect foul play, but after carrying out further investigations they arrested the 48-year-old tenant of the apartment.
The man has been detained for two weeks and is only allowed contact with his lawyer while inquiries continue.
Several police vehicles have been parked outside the apartment block since Friday.
