Kalashnikovs, 300 kilos of cocaine found in van in Breda
Police in Breda have found 300 kilos of cocaine and five guns, including two Kalashnikov rifles, in a delivery van which had just crossed into the Netherlands from Belgium.
The drugs were hidden in 14 sports bags in a secret compartment in the van. The driver, a 38-year-old man, was arrested and has been remanded in custody. The arrest was made last week but was made public on Wednesday.
A search of the suspect’s home also turned up mobile phones, a machine to count money and several laptops. A quantity of cash was also seized in a follow-up raid on another property in Oud-Gastel, the public prosecution department said.
