Summer is set to make a temporary return for a few days next week
After cooler temperatures and rain this week, summer is set to return for a few days after the weekend, weather forecasters say.
On Sunday and Monday the temperature will rise to around 21 degrees but Tuesday will be full on sunshine and it could hit over 25 degrees, the KNMI weather bureau said.
Weather forecaster Weerplaza says the sunny spell will be short. ‘The maximum for a couple of days will be between 25 degrees and 30 degrees,’ Weerplaza said.
The warm weather is due to hurricane Helene which is now above the Cape Verde islands but forecast to move north, allowing warm air from the south to reach northern parts of Europe.
