The man charged with the rape and murder of Utrecht woman Anne Faber last year has confessed to the killing, judges were told on Wednesday.
Michael P was not in court for the procedural hearing but his lawyer told the judging panel he had made a ‘full confession’.
Anne disappeared on September 29 after going out for a bike ride. Her body was found two weeks later at a spot identified by P. He was being treated at a psychiatric clinic nearby after being jailed for several sex crimes in 2010.
The next procedural hearing will take place on March 23 and the main trial has been planned for June 11 and 12.
