Police drain lake in hunt to find missing woman, 25

The fire brigade are draining a lake on a country estate near Utrecht in their hunt for a 25-year-old woman who disappeared while on a cycle ride last Friday evening.
Anne Faber last made contact with when she sent friends a selfie taken in Baarn at the start of her trip – thought to be an ANWB route – at just after 7pm. Her phone made contact with a transmitter south of Soest around 7.30 but nothing has been heard from her since then.
A bike which is said to be very similar to hers was found near the lake on the Huis ter Heide estate on Thursday evening. A jacket which may have belonged to her was found several days previously and the search has concentrated on the estate and its surroundings since then. Police confirmed on Friday afternoon it did belong to the missing woman.
A drag team and divers have already combed the bottom of the lake, looking for clues and police with torches were combing the area into late on Thursday evening.
By Friday morning, the lake was almost drained and forensic experts could begin their investigation.
The fish from the lake, which was said to have a rich collection of wildlife, have been placed in a makeshift tank on the back of a lorry, the Telegraaf said.
