The 30-year-old terrorist suspect arrested in Rotterdam following a security service tip-off two weeks ago has been remanded in custody for a further two months.
The man, named as Jaouad A, is suspected of preparing to carry out a terrorist attack. As yet it is unclear what the target was or if A had accomplices or links to terrorist networks.
Police found a Kalashnikov AK-47 with two full magazines of ammunition in his house when it was raided two weeks ago.
They also discovered four boxes of illegal and highly-explosive fireworks, a large painting of a flag used by Islamic State (or Daesh), mobile phones and€1,600 in cash.
The investigation into A is continuing.
