Tuesday is the warmest November 3 on record
Tuesday is the warmest November 3 since official records began in 1901, according to weather website Weeronline.
The temperature went as high as 20.9 degrees in Maastricht, just 0.2 percentage point up on the previous record, which dates from 1927.
It will remain unseasonably mild up to the weekend, with temperatures of at least 13 degrees during the day. This is six or seven degrees higher than normal, weather forecasting group KNMI said.
However, the sun is set to vanish from Thursday onwards and there will be showers over much of the country. The wind is set to pick up after the weekend and it will become colder, the KNMI said.
