Household debt increased in the first quarter of 2015, central statistics agency CBS said on Wednesday.
At the end of March, debt stood at €742bn, €2bn more than in the 2014 first quarter.
According to the agency, the improving economy has encouraged consumers to take more risks. Another factor is the low interest rates.
Between the end of September 2012 and mid-2014, household debt fell.
