Telecom company KPN is moving into television production with a drama series about European politics named Brussel.

The series will be written by Leon de Winter and will only be available to KPN clients. It will be completed in the second half of next year.

The initiative is the latest by Dutch companies to expand their services into television production. Earlier Videoland Unlimited commissioned RTL to produce a drama series for its own customers, named Zwarte Tulp.

KPN is also working with Mojo Concerts and Amsterdam Dance Event to broadcast concert and festival footage, Nos says.

The company is launching its own online television service named Play, which will be available via Android iOS.
