A 19-year-old youth from Maastricht is reported to have become the 20th Dutch jihadi to die fighting with IS forces in Syria and Iraq.
The teenager was seriously injured in a mortar attack on a military air base, local broadcaster L1 reports on Tuesday.
He died later in hospital and was buried in Raqqa, family members have been told.
The youth, of Iraqi-Kurdish origin, left with a friend to join IS in September. Sultan Berzel, who was also 19 and of Moroccan origin, apparently died last month after blowing himself up in a suicide bombing outside a police station in Baghdad.
