More delays for Dutch airlines this summer
Dutch airlines were hit by twice as many delays this summer than they were in 2013, with poor weather and technical issues accounting for the bulk of the problems, according to passenger group EUclaim.
EUclaim, set up to help passengers win compensation if their flights are delayed by more than three hours, said the storms on July 28 had a significant impact on air travel. Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport was closed for a time.
