Tefaf increases visitor numbers, sells rare Chinese dish
The international art fair Tefaf in Maastricht attracted 74,000 visitors over its 11 days, 4,000 more than in 2013.
During the final weekend, a rare Chinese dish from the Yuan dynasty (1279-1386) was sold for around €14m, the organisers said.
Negotiations are still underway for the privately-owned Moulin de la Galette by Vincent van Gogh, which made its first public appearance since 1965 at the fair. The painting is expected to fetch €10m.
