Ajax retain Eredivisie lead
Amsterdam football club Ajax increased its Eredivisie lead over Vitesse of Arnhem in this weekend’s football action with a 1-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles.
Substitute Lasse Schone scored the only goal of the match in the 74th minute.
Vitesse failed to pick up three points to stay level with Ajax after drawing 1-1 against NEC of Nijmegen.
Number three in the league FC Twente were not in action this weekend after their tie against FC Groningen was cancelled because of the weather.
On Saturday, Feyenoord did not manage to make the Eredivisie’s top three after losing 3-2 at ADO Den Haag.
