Can you roar like a red deer? The Hoge Veluwe wants you
The Hoge Veluwe national park has launched a competition to find the person who can best imitate the mating call of a red deer.
The championship will be held on September 1 and will herald the start of the traditional mating season.
Entrants have two minutes to convince the panel of judges of their skills. The judges include opera singer Maarten Koningsberger, lung specialist Kees J.J. Westermann and the park’s head game keeper.
