Sponsored feature: Europe has a crucial role in the global economic debate, and Nyenrode Business Universiteit is playing its part in preparing a future generation of world business leaders.
As the worldwide economic crisis continues, the role of Europe is the hot issue amongst the academia and professionals alike.
The European economy comprises more than 731 million people in 48 different countries and within that, the economy represented by the European Union is the biggest in the world. This means Europe will inevitably play important role the life of every global citizen.
Business schools around the world are key parties in keeping close eyes on this issue. Nyenrode Business Universiteit (www.nyenrode.nl) is no exception. Its teachers pay special attention to the role of Europe in the global economy and the university is helping to prepare the world’s future leaders to ensure they make a positive difference, where ever they are.
As part of this, Nyenrode is inviting global talents to join the discussion during the ‘Nyenrode MBA European Weekend’. This intensive event will take place between June 28 and 30, 2013 at the beautiful 13th century estate of Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Breukelen, in the Netherlands.
Founded in 1946, Nyenrode has always been an active participant in the global discussion, not only because of the location and history of the university, but also the significant role its plays linking academic research with professional expertise, says Shaoqing Wang, manager of International and Executive MBA program at Nyenrode.
‘We are very proud to have introduced a separate ‘European Module’ in our International MBA program, which provides our students with the awareness, knowledge, insight and skills they need to optimize the effectiveness of individuals, and thus their organizations, in a European context,’ Wang says.
‘Our students have benefited from the combination of interactive lectures, action learning, interviews, scenario analysis and simulation games as well as company and institutional visits in Brussels.’
Nyenrode’s motto is ‘By and For Business’ and the institution takes pride in preparing students for the real world. ‘We are exceptionally happy to open our doors to aspiring professionals during Nyenrode MBA European Weekend to enrich the discussion and deepen the knowledge regarding the role of Europe in today’s global world,’ Wang says.
During the Nyenrode MBA European Weekend, the selected participants will also experience what studying for an MBA at Nyenrode is like by attending the top-notch lectures and workshops and by interacting with current students, alumni, faculty and staff.
Nyenrode thinks it is important for global talents to experience the university first hand before they decide to apply for an MBA at Nyenrode. The feel has to be right to reap maximum benefit and Nyenrode believes that the first-hand experience is the only way prospective MBA students can make a concrete decision on the ‘fit’ between the university and themselves. And if they prove themselves deserving of a reward for life, Nyenrode will even bear the full cost of flight, accommodation and food.
