The gang who blasted their way into a Brink’s money transport office in Best earlier this week are probably Moroccan and Algerian nationals operating from Belgium, Nos television quoted justice ministry officials as saying.

It is still unclear how much cash the gang took when they struck in the Noord-Brabant town on Wednesday evening. However, officials say the gang is extremely professional in its use of both explosives and guns and in making a quick getaway.

The same gang may also have been involved in similar raids in Germany and France and the attack on a Brink’s branch in Amsterdam in 2011, which netted €12m, officials said.
