Lost teddy bear reunited with owner after social media campaign
A teddy bear has been reunited with its three-year-old owner after an eight month search using social media, the AD reports on Monday.
The bear was found by photographer Cees de Jonge on the train to Hoorn in July. A father himself, he decided to take the bear home and try to track down its owner after the train conductor said it would be thrown away.
The hunt for the bear’s rightful owner spread around Facebook and Twitter but with no luck until a third appeal was launched last week. Three people replied, one hoaxer, one who had lost another bear and the mother of Luciano, who lives in Haarlem.
‘I am the happiest bear in the world, I have found my owner, Luciano here I am,’ says the bear on his Facebook page, made by De Jonge, the AD reported.
