Vitesse star Bony wants to quit Holland for family visa reasons

Dutch premier division top scorer Wilfried Bony wants to leave the Netherlands as soon as possible because the government refuses to allow his family from Ivory Coast to visit him, the striker says in an interview with Nu.nl.

While acknowledging he has ambitions to play at a higher level, the main reason to leave Holland is the fact his parents, brother and sister have been banned from visiting him, Bony told nu.nl.
‘I’ve twice tried to get my brother over and both times he has been refused a visa,’ the 23-year-old told the website.
‘They are not even allowed in for a few days and no reason is given,’ the striker claims. ‘Vitesse can’t help, but I now want to leave the Netherlands as soon as I can. If I play for an English club, then at least I can see my family.’
With 12 goals so far this season, Bony has helped propel Vitesse into third place in the premier league. Aston Villa and Chelsea are said to be among the English sides which are looking at the player for a possible winter transfer window purchase.
