Dozens of flights from Amsterdam to US are cancelled

Flights from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport to eastern parts of the United States were disrupted on Monday following fears about the effect of hurricane Sandy.


The Schiphol airport authority warned passengers there will be flight delays and cancellations and urged passengers to check with their airlines for the latest details.
KLM cancelled at least 10 flights to and from New York and Washington and Delta Airlines also warned travellers flights would be delayed or cancelled.
