Christian parties take action on paedophile association
Parliamentarians from the Christian Democrats and ChristenUnie are drawing up draft legislation which would make it possible to ban organisations whose officials have been convicted of child abuse.
The action is aimed at the pro-paedophilia lobby group Stichting Martijn.
The public prosecution department said earlier this year it cannot ban the organisation, even though at least eight of its current and former officials have convictions for child abuse.
The EU Treaty of Lanzarote makes its possible to ban an organisation if officials have child pornography convictions. The CDA and CU say this treaty should now be translated into Dutch law.
