Sint poster prompts record advertising complaints

The advertising standards commission received a record 4,102 complaints last year, up from 1,666 in 2009.

The increase is almost entirely due to the poster for the horror film Sint, which led to hundreds of protests from parents who said it was too frightening for children.
An overtly sexual billboard for suit makers SuitSupply and a radio commercial for Durex lubricant complete the top three.
