Blue chip firm bosses earnings back at pre crisis levels

Large bonuses and generous share deals have propelled CEO earnings at the Netherlands’ companies back to pre-crisis levels, according to research by the NRC and shareholders lobby group VEB.

The CEOs at the 25 firms listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange’s blue chip index earned a combined €78m, or an average of €3.1m each.
A quarter of this is salary and the rest performance-related, the research showed.
Shell CEO Peter Voser heads the list with gross earnings of €12m last year.
