Juliana’s attic sale raises €1.6m on first day
The first day of the auction of objects once owned by princess Juliana raised €1.6m, Sotheby’s auction house said on Monday. The items in lots 1 to 213 had been expected to make €480,000.
The sale of over 10,000 items in 1,725 lots continues at the RAI Theater in Amsterdam until March 17.
The money raised is being divided between four charities.
