Graduates earn twice as much as people with only

People with a university or hbo college degree earned almost twice as much as those without any higher education in 2009, the national statistics office CBS said on Wednesday.

Around one third of the population have a degree and a similar number have no higher education, the CBS said. Women are slightly better educated than men.
The average income in 2009 was €36,000.
