Germany increasingly popular with Dutch tourists
The Dutch spent more than ten million nights in Germany last year, an increase of 5.4% on 2009.
Since 2000, the number of nights spent in Germany has risen by an average 3.9% a year. Nine out of 10 visits were for holidays rather than business.
Germany reportedly took over from France as the Dutch holidaymaker’s favourite destination in 2007.
